Odd & Ends

I have a lot on my mind today and I can't seem to find a concrete place to stop and focus. Hopefully typing some of it out will help ease the spinning.

-----------------------------------

I've been addicted to ice coffee lately - mid-winter too. Come summer I will probably dig the hot stuff right from the pot but right now I'm drinking it over ice and it is delicious. I sip it all day long. What's up with that?

I made these yesterday in an attempt to do something productive and keep myself from calling my husband at work every ten minutes to tell him I'm bored. They will be for sale (for cheap) in my shop soon. It's my first try at making cards and I kind of winged it, but I thought they turned out really, really cute. The inside of the first one is just as cute as the outside and is going to be perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm going to make another one just for my hubby.

I took a fast from Facebook as part of a 40 day challenge and I'm loving it. I am seriously considering limiting my FB use afterwards to strictly business and photo storage (I can't not share photos, okay?) because it's been so refreshing not to compare my life to anyone else's for the last week.

In other news, I am now addicted to Twitter. If you follow me, I sincerely apologize for the amount of tweets I can sometimes put out in a short period. I get carried away. (Like don't even think about paying attention to me tonight when Shark Tank is on...I get obsessed.)

Three friends of mine are pregnant and having GIRLS. It's girl season ya'll - time for me to crank out some cute headbands and girly crochet hats. I'm especially excited for a couple that I work with because they are as obsessed with the Reds as we are and I can make their little one a cute Red's hat or headband. I just bought a package of baseball charms that will be perfect.

My legs still hurt two days later from that circuit training. Yesterday I could barely move. I love it.
Winter is starting to make me a little stir-crazy. I want to get out of the house...and I want to run again. I will be a runner. I am determined. As soon as the temps rise above ya know, zero, my butt is going to be back outside hitting the pavement.

I'm really considering bangs. Like real bangs. Do you think I would look crazy?

Any big plans for the weekend? I have to work all day both Saturday and Sunday, but next weekend we may be going to Chicago! Can't wait!

Have a great weekend everyone.  =)

  1. Yay for a weekend in Chicago!! Let me know if you need any ideas or recommendations on what to do :) And I love that you did a Facebook fast.. I've been considering giving up some of social media for Lent because I'm probably way too addicted to it! Happy Friday!

  3. Those cards are so stinkin' cute. I must admit I'm a little jealous of how crafty you are ... I've always dreamed of having that talent. :-)

I agree with Jen ... I think the bangs would look darling. I'm excited to see a picture.

And I must admit ... I like the idea of your Facebook challenge.

  5. I adore that card with the banner on it! So cute, and what a great way to use up little scraps of paper! Iced Coffee is totally my jam too, I've been drinking it hot because it's just too cold around these parts to drink anything iced but I can't wait until the first mildly warm day to declare it iced coffee season!

    1. It's been way too cold around these parts for iced coffee too - but for some reason I'm just digging it!

So many of my girl friends are pregnant with their second child. And, ALL of those ladies are expecting girls. Something is in the water.
WOOHOO for running! Come April it will be perfect for some pavement pounding.
